The Militant Pine Marten has returned to the forest for a fortnight
I shall return with some new mustelid musings on August 15th or thereabouts. Have a good first half of August everyone (assuming optimistically that there is anyone).
The European pine marten (Martes martes, L.) is distributed through most portions of continental Eurasia from western Europe in the west to western Siberia in the east, from the northern edge of coniferous forest in the north to Asia Minor in the south.
Some say that in many ways, it is like a fox, however it is far cooler as it climbs trees, is a lot prettier and doesn't tend to have mange quite so much.
